We offer a choice of hot and cold breakfasts, freshly cooked healthy hot lunches and puddings, along with a choice of hot and cold tea, and snacks inbetween. Our kitchen has a cafe-style counter and the children can watch our nursery cook whilst she is preparing and cooking their food, asking her questions and learning all about the food that they are given.
We make our own baby food freshly on site, catering for every baby’s weaning stages.
We celebrate different cultures in our menus, learning about their diet and cuisine, and sample a huge variety of foods in our menus. All produce is sourced locally and made fresh on our premises.
A choice of cereals, toast and fresh fruit. We offer porridge in winter and occasionally bagels or muffins for variety. The children can request scrambled or poached eggs.
Melon and grapes; bananas and raisins; rice cakes with sliced tomatoes; milkshakes with ginger biscuits – we always try and offer a choice of at least two items.
Spaghetti Bolognese followed by banana flapjack; Toad-in-the-hole with seasonal vegetables followed by strawberries with ice cream and wafers; Sweet and sour Quorn with rice followed by glace cherry sponge. We make lunch the main meal of the day as most children’s sessions cover the lunch period, and it is always prepared from scratch by our nursery cook in the cafe-style kitchen.
Toasted crumpets; assorted fresh fruit; cheese and crackers; bread sticks with humous – again we try to vary the snack as much as possible so the children can experience many different varieties of food.
Cheese and tomato pizza; chicken soup with bread rolls; scrambled eggs with fresh tomato; beans on toast.
Fresh water is available at all times, and the children drink milk with their morning and afternoon snacks.
